Academy Marquees are pleased to announce their relocation to a state of the art premises at London Fairoaks Airport just outside Woking. The new 8000 ft2 space houses all of Academy’s stock and incorporates warehousing, office space, and a specially prepared climate controlled linings storage and inspection room, with a purpose built 7m inspection table. Work is well under way to create a showroom in the 1,600 ft2 of office space, and we are also looking forward to 2 new members of the team joining us to help Academy plan for the busy summer months.
Great new Location…
Fairoaks airport is located between Woking and Chertsey in Surrey only 5 minutes from junction 11 of the M25. This makes Academy Marquees the closest London Marquee Company and means we can be in Central London in just over half an hour and the Olympic Park in Stratford in a little over 45 minutes. Our new location, combined with our investment in 2 new forklifts, and purpose built wheeled stillages means we are constantly improving our efficiency to deliver the perfect event for our customers. The airport location also means that some members of the team have been taking flying lessons to see our new home from the air!
Sustainability
Along with investing in new equipment for site, the warehouse and office teams are striving to obtain BS8901, sustainability in events management. So far we have implemented energy saving lights in all areas, heavily insulated our climate controlled linings room, and started a re-cycling co-operative with other companies on the business park. This combined with our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint means we will not only be saving the environment, but hopefully some cash too!
